Berry Patch Farms

Strawberries and raspberries. Two of Olivia's favorite things! So, we spent a morning picking them right off the vine at Berry Patch Farm. There were not a lot of ripe berries, but we had fun searching for the perfect ones and Olivia loved eating them right as she picked them!

Beautiful Braid

It never ceases to amaze me that I can barely get Olivia's hair into half-up half-down. And, yet, she comes home from daycare with hair looking like this. Miss Nichole, You are amazing!

Big Girl Bed

Olivia is now in a big girl toddler bed. We have moved her out of her nursery and into the office, which was moved into the basement. She loves her new bed and her new room. The best part is that when she goes to bed at night and when she wakes up in the morning she just hops out of bed and quietly plays. Sometimes, she does this in the middle of the night, but we put a gate on her door so she can't get into too much trouble. We're still in the process of ordering her bedding and decorating the room, so we'll post more pictures when it's all done!

Yes, that's gum in Olivia's mouth! And, not surprisingly, she LOVES gum!

My Child is a Genius

Well, I think most parents think their child is pretty darn smart! But, Olivia just knocked my socks off when she started matching her bath letters to something or someone that started with that letter. For example....

"Z ~ Zeba"
"P ~ Papa" (The P is upside down.)

"N ~ Nana"

And, when I asked Olivia how old she was, she held up the 2 and said, "Twoooooo!"

A Visit to Vail

While it was pouring rain in the Denver Metro Area, we spent a cool beautiful day in Vail, Colorado. Jason, Olivia, Mom and I caravaned with Dad and Kiki up the mountain and we met my Dad's brother Paul and his family there along with Martha. The highlight of the day was exploring the adorable cobbled streets of Vail and seeing all the gorgeous flowers.

Olivia and I spent the evening visiting Jen, Dave and their dog, Ralphie! Jen's friend, Ayesha and her daughter, Madison, also joined us. Olivia LOVED Ralphie, especially feeding him bacon (aka Beggin' Strips for dogs). What a sweet doggie he is! I'm so happy we were able to make the trip up to Orange County to see good friends!

Soup Plantation

Enjoying a little chocolate ice cream at Soup Plantation with Great-Grandma, Papa, Grandma, Papa Pete, Nana, Auntie Anna, counsin Aiden and Mommy! It's one of her favorite restaurants to go to, but at home it's called Sweet Tomatoes!

The Beach

We spent a warm summer afternoon at the beach in Carlsbad with Papa, Nana, Uncle Matt, Aunt Mimi, Jake, Ty and Kylie. Not surprisingly, Olivia LOVED the water. The waves made her a little nervous, but she got right in and splashed around.

After a wonderful afternoon at Legoland, I was making a poor attempt of getting a cute, posed picture of Olivia and I. When I handed the camera to my Mom and then swooped up an exhausted Olivia, she cried, "No pictures, Mama. Noooo more pictures, Mama!" Maybe she's trying to tell me something. Do I take too many pictures.... Here's evidence of her hysterical plea!

Legoland

We spent a sunny San Diego day at Legoland with Aunt Mimi and counsins Jake, Ty and Kylie. There were only three rides that Olivia was tall enough to go on, but she loved every moment of our day from the train ride to driving cars to the water park.
