The Pacific Ocean

Before we left on Tuesday evening, we took Olivia for her first visit to the Pacific Ocean. She loved watching the waves and the birds and all of the people!

It will be such fun to bring Olivia back when she's old enough to play in the sand and romp around in the waves! What a beautiful spot!

First Time in a Shopping Cart

On Monday we went to lunch at Pei Wei with Papa, Grandma, Great Pa and Great Ma. After lunch, we stopped by Ralphs to pick up a couple of things. Olivia had her first ride in a shopping cart. She had such fun! She has become fond of sticking her tongue out and in the second picture I finally captured it! Silly girl!

Easter at the Turner's

Olivia with Uncle Mike and Aunt Neen

Olivia with Uncle Matt and cousin Ty

In her Easter basket, Olivia got a Easter story book about Jesus and other goodies. Here she is with Daddy reading the book. She already has such great pre-literacy skills. Look at her help her Daddy hold the book. She must have a teacher for a mommy! She also got some bubbles in her basket which Mommy left in her diaper bag and they got confiscated when we went through security at the airport...oops!

Olivia tried to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt with her cousins, Jake and Ty. Since this hunt was inside, she was a little more successful! The carpet was a lot more comfortable than the grass. She was able to scoot around to gather some eggs. Here she is with some of her loot! Mommy and Daddy got to eat the chocolate from the inside!

Easter at the Stephens

Jason and I headed back down from Orange County on Sunday morning to join the Stephens family for an Easter Day celebration. We had yummy food, Easter baskets, and an Easter Egg Hunt. Olivia wasn't quite sure what to think about the cold, itchy grass, so Daddy held her and let her examine the eggs! Next year, she really be able to participate in the Egg Hunt and maybe dying the eggs too!

Our sweet Easter girl!

Check out what's in my Easter basket!

Easter Sunday

On Saturday evening, Jason and I stayed in Laguna Beach after Jen and Dave's wedding. Olivia stayed with her Papa and Grandma Stephens down in San Diego. On Sunday morning, she attended church with them along with her Aunt Anna, Uncle Pat and counsin Aiden. They all shared a beautiful Easter morning together.

Celebrating Jen & Dave's Wedding

On Thursday evening, we headed over to Oceanside for a party to celebrate Jen and Dave's upcoming wedding! Katie and Ron, Jen's sister and brother-in-law, hosted the party. We brought Olivia along with us and she got to meet Katie and Ron's little girl, Abigail. She also got to meet her Aunt Sammy for the first time! What a fun evening with friends before the weekend wedding festivities!

Playing with Cousins

On Wednesday evening, we went over to Uncle Matt and Aunt Kimmi's house for dinner. Olivia had such a great time playing with her cousins, Jake and Ty. She especially loved playing with their tool bench complete with a screwdriver, saw and wrench! Maybe Daddy will have a little fix-it helper someday!

Visiting with Ali and Family

On Wednesday morning, we got together with Ali, her two boys, Kellen and Evan, her mom, Bev, her sister, Kristin, and Kristin's little girl, Juliana. It was great to watch the kiddos interact and we got to meet Evan who is just two months younger than Olivia. We had a fun day visiting, eating yummy Mexican food, and playing with the kids!

First Time on a Swing

When visiting Ali and her crew, we met at her mom and dad's new house. They had a great swing set for the kids and even a bucket seat on one of the swings. Olivia got her first chance to swing! She loved it! Daddy's going to have to change out one of our swings to a bucket seat when we get home! What fun!

Papa and Grandma Stephens

On Monday afternoon we went to the Network to visit Papa and Grandma. We're not staying with them until later in the week, but we went by to say hi and so they could kiss and hug on the munchkin, Olivia!

First Bath in a Big Tub!

Olivia still bathes in the little toddler bath tub at home. Since we didn't have one here with us in California, Olivia had her first experience in a big bath tub. She did great! She just loved splashing in the water and playing with the bath toys. I think Mommy and Daddy will start giving her a bath in the big tub when we return to Colorado. She had so much fun!

Playing at Papa and Nana's House

Our first stop on our trip is Papa and Nana Turner's house. Our first afternoon we had fun playing together. Olivia was very interested in playing with a white whiffle ball and a red bouncy ball. (Her Auntie Altie would be proud!) She also showed off her rolling and crawling skills for the grandparents. She is such a happy little one and seemed to quickly adjust to her new environment, even the Pack 'n Play where she slept. Our only little problem is those darn teeth! Her 7th and 8th teeth are cutting through! Olivia loves visiting her Papa and Nana!

Off to San Diego

Late in the evening on Saturday the 31st we headed from Denver to San Diego. We were hoping that Miss Olivia would sleep on the flight since we departed at 10:00 p.m., but no such luck! She was a fidget!! She wanted to look at the lights and out the window and at the TVs. Oh well, she slept well once we arrived. It was a late night for our little munchkin! We have a fun week ahead of us visiting family and celebrating the wedding of our dear friends, Jen and Dave up in Orange County. Stay tuned for more updates and pictures from our trip!
