to the Stock Show! This year we took our little cowgirl to one of the biggest Stock Shows in the country and she loved it ~ tons of people, yummy fair food, petting zoo and farm animals! The National Western Stock Show decends on Denver for two weeks every January. This is quite the Denver tradition as this year was the 102nd year!

San Diego Super Chargers!
Charger Family! Go Bolts!
Yay Chargers! Touchdown!
Unfortunately, in the end, the Chargers came up short against the stinking New England Patriots! Hopefully, next year they will make it all the way to the big game... Well, actually, if we're talking about next season now, then I hope the BRONCOS make it all the way!

Aunt Sammy
Aunt Sammy came from New York last weekend to visit. While she was here she got to meet our groups's newest addition, little Samantha, Erin and Doug's baby girl. We loved seeing you, Aunt Sammy and we can't wait until May when we come to New York!

18 Months Old!
Olivia is getting to be such a big girl! On January 3rd, she turned 18th months old and on the Monday the 7th, I took her in for her scheduled check-up. As you can see, she's not too fond of getting examined by the doctor. Typical, he says, at this age. We were so thankful that we had a scheduled appointment because it turned out that Olivia had an ear infection that we did not know about. She had a cold while we were in California, but she did not have a fever or trouble sleeping. She got her first perscription for amoxicillian and she is doing a great job of taking her medicine.
It's hard to believe that Olivia is already 18 months old! She is very steady on her feet and even breaks out into a run every once in a while. While she is a little more particular about what she wants to eat, overall, she has adjusted well to table food well and tries new food all the time. The most fun part of her age and stage is her ever increasing vocabulary. She is beginning to say phrases and says new words practically every day. Her favorite words (and favorite items) are keys and phone. The girl has more toys than she knows what to do with and she wants my keys and phone...yikes! Watch out world, here comes Olivia!
18 Month Stats:
Weight ~ 22 pounds - 20th percentile
Height ~ 30 7/8" - 25th percentile

Zoo Lights
This year, we bundled up with Papa and Gigi and went to Zoo Lights. Just as before, it was a beautiful, but chilly night for checking out the animals and viewing the amazing light displays. The pictures do not do it justice!

Christmas 2007
This year, Christmas lasted for about two weeks for our family! Christmas day was spent at Papa and Grandma Stephens house in San Diego. We celebrated with Papa and Nana and Turner family on the Friday, the 28th, and then finally, we exchanged presents with Papa and Gigi once back at home on the January 5th. We are so thankful that we were able to see almost of our family during the Christmas holiday...we missed you Tudi and Badescu family!

Happy New Year!
Our New Year's Eve was a bit of a bummer. We were scheduled to leave San Diego in the morning of the 31st, so we would be home for New Year's Eve festivities. After a plane malfunction and 8 hours at the airport, we decided to go back to Papa and Grandma's house and leave the next day. Olivia did great, but it was a long day and we were all exhausted!
