Stellar Grand Opening

On Monday evening, Stellar Elementary School opened its doors to the community. Our superintendant, Thornton City Council members, Board of Education members, Adams 12 staff, parents and students joined the Stellar staff to celebrate the completion of our school. I'm so excited about this new opportunity. My library is beautiful! Olivia had fun checking out the library and posed with me in front of an Olivia book! The beautiful flowers are from Dad and Kiki who came to the opening along with Tara. It was a special evening!

We spent a warm summer evening in the backyard playing in the grass and eating dinner with Papa and Gigi.

When I was pregnant with Olivia, I had an Olivia in my 2nd grade class. At the end of the school year, I found out that Olivia in my class also had Grace for a middle name. Now, Olivia's mom works at my new school Stellar with me. Last night we had a family and staff picnic and Olivia got to meet Olivia. Here is a picture of my two sweet Olivias!

Mama's New Hobby

Just last week, I learned a new hobby from Tara -- knitting! Here is my first completed project, a hat for Olivia. She's not quite so sure what to think about it. I couldn't get a good picture of her because she kept trying to take it off, but at least you can see my handiwork! Hopefully, she'll wear it this winter.

Adams County Fair

Every year, Adams County has its annual fair at the Adams County Regional Park. We decided to take Olivia this year. We explored the grounds with Olivia checking out all the farm animals and the petting zoo and eating yummy fair food including my favorite, kettle corn!
