Christmas Day with Dear Ones

We were blessed on Christmas Day with wonderful company: Kiki, Alton, and Honey (Dad was home sick) ~ Peter, Patti, Cindy and John ~ Tara, Boulder, Dick and Kit

Boulder was a tropper and enjoyed the beautiful day outside!

After the Bassetts came by, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and challenging puzzles and fun games with Patti and her crew. By the end of the evening, we were curled up on the couch watching the Grinch, a gift from Santa. On Christmas and always, we are so thankful to be blessed with the most generous and loving family and friends. And yes, Olivia did wear her Christmas pajamas all day long!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Our little miss Olivia has been talking about Santa for weeks! Her favorite Christmas song seems to be "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and she sings it to us practically everday. We headed out to Flatirons for her annual picture with Santa on a cold winter night. Once in line, she chatted away... "Hi, Santa! ... Where's Santa? ... Santa's not scary, he's nice. .... Merry Christmas, Santa." And, serenaded those around us with her favorite Christmas songs. She went on and on and on. Jas and I were thinking, this should be a piece of cake! As her turn approached, her chattering continued. Then, it was finally her turn. Jas walked her over to Santa and as he handed her over, she screamed, at the top of her lungs, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Santa!!!!" So, we took a family picture. Maybe next year, she'll really believe her own words, "Santa's not scary, he's nice.
