Mother's Day
If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.
-Claudia Ghandi
After breakfast in bed complete with Daylight donuts (cake with white frosting and sprinkles - delish!) and chocolate milk, we packed up for a day at the Denver Botanic Gardens. While the gardens are not quite in full bloom this time of year, the bulbs are out in all their beautiful glory. Especially my favorite, the tulips. We devoured a tasty picnic lunch and explored the gardens with Dad, Kiki and Honey. The kids especially loved racing around the grassy hill area. It was truly a perfect day! To complete the day, Jas took us to Sweet Tomatoes. My fave and quite possibly his least favorite. Thank you, my love! ♥

Craft Time with Grandma!
Grandma with her girl, Olivia, putting together a foam Gingerbread House. The glue gun operated by Grandma was necessary to get the structure put together, but Liv helped with the rest of the house by carefully placing each of the sparkling red and green shingles, candies, gingerbread man and Christmas tree. The final product was pretty cute and Liv enjoyed the craft time with Grandma! 27 November 2010

.Fun Friday.
.King Soopers.
"Driving" through King Soopers to pick up a few groceries. Everytime we enter the King's parking lot, Olivia begins to search for a car cart. These are actually new car carts and they are SO much easier to steer. Happy kiddos and a happy mama!

.Anythink Library.
We made it to our new library, the Wright Farms branch of the Rangeview Library System, which opened last Saturday. What a fun afternoon... Liv's first library card. Finding books and DVDs. Exploring the kids' section - cool chairs, legos, computers, foam playground, puzzles, and, of course, books. And, playing with Karen and Spencer - we love our Spotts.
I think we'll be spending a lot of time there!
.Papa & Gigi's.
A fun night at Papa and Gigi's filled with...
Sandbox fun. Fish tacos. Cousins. Dandelions. And a walk around the loop.

Rainy Independence Day
Our 4th of July didn't quite turn out as planned thanks to the yucky weather. We still managed to find some some yummy snacks to eat - popcorn and lemonade.
Here's Bubby... He's wishing he could eat popcorn!
The girls - Nana, Mama & Liv
This is right after we ran back to the car when the skies opened up and started pouring rain on us. We were able to make it back with funnel cake! Yum!
After all the excitement, the Bubs was out for the count!
No fireworks for us tonight... hopefully tomorrow!

Sugar Cookies
One of our favorite Christmas Eve traditions is baking, decorating and, of course, eating sugar cookies. We struggled a little this year with the baking part of the process. The cookies were HUGE and looked like blobs, not cute Christmas shapes when they came out of the oven. They were still fun to decorate and delicious to eat!

Andrew sleft through the cookie making. Next year, I'm sure he'll be ready to help with the fun, especially the eating part!
